I have a question: I know there is a universal church but is Revelation talking about specific bodies of believers as the different churches? I know that in each of the 7 churches there are true believers and unbelievers who Jesus addresses but what about believers who are not part of any particular church? Are they still part of the “church” that He will come for in the Rapture?
Hi Diana. These are real churches. I think the presumption is that a Christian would be part of a local church. Our salvation rests on our faith in the Lord Jesus, not whether a person belongs to a church. But to love Jesus leads us to a local church. But as you can see from the seven there are some really good churches and some churches that are almost dead.
